Maximilian Armstrong is a storyteller with a penchant for adventure. He’s hitchhiked across the U.S., Motorbiked across Vietnam, thru-hiked the 2,200-mile Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia, and spent a winter in the Alaskan Arctic washing dishes at the world’s northern-most truck stop.

As a documentary filmmaker, Max explores stories about people and the planet that are both timely and timeless. His 2023 film, Seeds of Change: Breaking Free from the Prison Food Machine, which Max produced, directed, and edited, has screened across North America to critical acclaim and awards, including Best Documentary Short at the prestigious SCAD Savannah Film Festival.

When he’s not making films, Max hits the trails. He recently qualified for the 2024 XTERRA Trail Running World Championship, at Sugar Loaf, Maine.
